Make your hand soap container last longer

Ever get the foam up soaps from Bath and Body Works or Soft Soap? What I do to refill them is buy the regular liquid soap refills and pour 3 oz of it and mix it with water. It is way cheaper and works just as effectively as a foam pump. Just another way to re-use a container.  If you use bar soaps to wash your hand you can put all the remnants in a blender with water. Puree it  and put in a hand soap container and use it that way.

Old T-shirts and Socks for Cleaning around the house

I use old T-shirts for cleaning the floors, mirrors and cars. Old socks are great too for small areas like behind the tv, the rims of a car, dusting ceiling fans since you slip the old sock over your arm like a sock puppet and it collects dust. It saves paper towels and you can throw them in the washer when they are dirty.

Stapleless Eco-Stapler

It is perfect for 5 pages or less. Does not use staples. It punches a hole and reinserts part of the paper to bind it together. Cost $10 or less depending on where you buy it.

Dryer Sheets are good as Dust Collectors

I use my dryer sheets to dust around the house like on the stair rail, top of toilet tanks, window sills and so on. I end up with 3 a week and it does not go to waste.

Magazines are good for Placemats

Remember eating crab at the beach or eating something messy and spreading newspaper as a table cover? We have been using a few magazines as place mats and each time we eat we turn a few pages over and it’s clean again. Then in the end we flip through the magazine over the trashcan to get out all the crumbs and recycle it. A magazine last us about a month and not too many crumbs make it to the table.
