Meet Triac by Green Vehicles

Triac can reach a top speed of 80mph and a driving range of 100 miles per charge. This zero-emissions, pure electric vehicle may be ready for purchase in July 2008 from Green Vehicles. Besides being the coolest looking, affordable electric vehicle available this summer. Some of the things we like about Triac is that you can ride in the carpool lane and it can plug into a regular wall socket and charge in 6 hours.

Since most electricity is produced by burning fossil fuels (coal & oil), these electric cars are just moving the emmissions problem up the chain. So I don’t buy the 0 emmissions hype, but if renewable sources (wind, solar, hydro) can be used to produce the electricity, they do pave the way for a true 0 emmissions world.

Nice plug for your website RaginGeek. I’m sure what you’re saying is true and companies aren’t being enviro-friendly yet. However once their product is created, would you rather have another Hummer on the road or a Triac in the long run?
