The Sunnan is a solar powered work lamp from IKEA for around $20 and comes in a variety 0f fun colors. These lamps run on solar cells that transform sunlight into electricity; helps you save energy and reduce your environmental footprint. In addition the bulbs are LED which consumes 70% less energy and has at least 4 times longer life than incandescent bulbs in similar decorative lighting.
i’m tempted to pick up one and try it out, but not sure about the reliability. Recharging time is 9-12 hours in sunlight, but over 12 hours on a cloudy day. When the battery is fully charged, the product will give shine for approx. 4 hours. Light diodes are not replaceable; diode life approx. 50,000 hours.
If you do decide to go to IKEA and pick up one of these work lamps, please let us know how they perform and feel free to use this coupon for a free big blue reusable IKEA shopping bag!
